What is a countdown timer? Can I skip it?

When you start a recording using Mode Presets, a countdown timer will begin after you press the preset mode button.

This is because, in preset mode, users usually need a short amount of time to raise the tripod and adjust the Falcon to the correct height and position before the actual recording starts. The countdown timer is designed to give you enough time to complete this setup without missing any action.

Countdown duration: The default countdown time is 60 seconds, and it can be customized between 30 and 120 seconds. 

Where to adjust it: You can find this setting in the Preset Mode parameter settings.

• During the countdown: The side light will slowly blink, indicating that the countdown is in progress. 
• When the countdown ends / recording starts: The side light will rapidly blink three times, and a long beep will sound during the final second. Once the beep ends, the recording officially begins.

⚠️ At the moment, the countdown timer cannot be skipped when using preset mode to start a recording.
