RTMP Livestream Guide – XbotGo Falcon (Ex: YouTube, Restream)

*The livestream function must be operated via the XbotGo App.*

Livestream Steps:

1. After connect the Falcon to XBotGo App, click the recording button. Then, select the dedicated mode and enter the monitor screen.  

      

2. Click the live icon to start the live streaming setup

   

3. Select “Platform Streaming”, choose RTMP, and then click “Next.” A page displaying the stream Address and stream key will be shown for you to fill in.

       

4. On this page, you will need to enter the RTMP server address and stream key. 

   These information can be obtained from the app or software you plan to stream to. (We will use YouTube and Restream as an example.)

   • YouTube: These information can be found in YouTube Studio. Open YouTube Studio, click “learn how to use encoders”, and you will see the Stream URL and Stream Key displayed.

     

   • Restream：You can find this information in Restream’s Encoder/RTMP section. From the Restream homepage, click + New Stream, then select Encoder | RTMP. Under the RTMP or RTMPS section, you will find the RTMP URL and Stream Key.

      

5. Copy and paste the URL and stream key into the XbotGo App. Please note that if you click Start Livestream directly, the app will default to using your cellular data for streaming.

     

6. To modify the livestream resolution or select a different Wi-Fi network, tap “Video & Network Settings”. 

    

7. To select other Wi-Fi network for live streaming:

   (iPhone)

   Tap “Select Wi-Fi Network”. Choose your Wi-Fi, then enter the password. Once the screen shows “Connected  XXX”, the Wi-Fi is successfully connected.

   

   (Andriod)

   1. Tap “Select Wi-Fi Network” > “Set Wi-Fi Network,” then choose your Wi-Fi in your phone’s system settings.
   2. Return to the app — your Wi-Fi will appear in the XbotGo app list. Select it and enter the password.

   3. Once a checkmark appears next to the Wi-Fi name, the connection is successful.

      

8. Go back to the Start Live Stream page and click “Start Livestream”.   

   

9. When the “Live” indicator and flame icon appear, your livestream has started successfully. You should then be able to see the video source available on your streaming platform.
